Home Remedies for Anorexia

The home remedies for anorexia include apple, ginger, orange juice, lemon, garlic, grapes, warm water, and mint. Anorexia is a common problem that arises from a persistent digestive disorder.   2. All you need to do is to have a glass of orange juice every two hours throughout the day.

  4. Remember not to take anything else in between.
  5. Basically, this methodology will cleanse the system thoroughly.

Lemon :-

  1. Lemon works great as a system cleanser.
  2. One lemon squeezed in a glass of lukewarm water with a pinch of salt, drunk in the morning, cleanses the system thoroughly.
  3. Add some ginger juice to make it more effective.
  4. Lemon tones up the system as well, getting the body back to its optimal conditions.

Garlic :-

    1. Take three to four cloves of garlic a day in any form, including raw garlic, crushed garlic in soup, and garlic boiled in water.

  5. Teas and infusions with different spices like cinnamon improve the stomach’s readiness to digest food.

Sour Grapes :-

Soups :-

  1. Individuals suffering from anorexia nervosa should be given plenty of fresh soups.
  2. Mildly spiced fresh vegetable and chicken soup can improve an anorexics appetite levels.
  3. Soups are not only a superb appetite stimulator but they are also nutrient dense as well.
  4. Ideally, you should give freshly prepared soup to a person suffering from this particular eating disorder, instead of instant soup that is simply poured from a tin.

Mint :-

  1. Mint is natural appetizer, hence you can use it to treat anorexia.
  2. Its strong, distinct taste and attractive aroma help improve appetite.
  3. In addition, it can relieve heightened emotional stress.
  4. Eat 2 teaspoons of freshly extracted mint juice each morning.
  5. Also, drink a few cups of mint tea daily. To make the tea, add 2 teaspoons of dry mint leaves in a cup of hot water. Steep for 10 minutes, strain and drink it.

Yoga :-

  1. Yoga can help combat the emotional causes of anorexia.
  2. According to a 2010 study published in the Journal of Adolescent Health, individualized yoga therapy holds promise as adjunctive therapy to standard care for anorexia and other eating disorders.
  3. Some of the yoga poses that are helpful in treating anorexia are the Crab Pose (Catuspadapitham), Pigeon Pose (Kapotasana), Locust Pose (Salabhasana), Mountain Pose (Tadasana), Goddess Pose (Utkata Konasana) and Squat Pose (Malasana).
