Minor wounds are mainly referred to the condition of skin where it undergoes small cut or torn out. Minor wounds include minor burns, puncture wounds, cuts, pressure sores and many more. The main reason for the occurrence of minor wounds can be accidents or other injuries. There are various reasons for people becoming more prone to minor wounds such as smoking, chemotherapy, age, steroid use and many more. Minor wounds are associated with symptoms such as swelling, bleeding, pain, tenderness, inflammation and pus. Use some of the best reputed home remedies, which are effective in curing minor wounds problems.

Proper Cleaning to Heal or Cure Minor Wounds:-

    • The best way to clean the minor wound is through the running water.
    • You can use the cold water under the normal temperature and a soap (mild) for washing the wound.
  • Through cleaning, the bacteria, dirt, and debris will be removed, so there will be less pain as well as less chance of infections.
  • After this, dry the wound by using a soft towel, and then apply an antiseptic lotion for the better result.

Turmeric to Heal or Cure Minor Wounds:-

  • For healing a minor wound, the best natural antiseptic as well as the antibiotic agent is turmeric.
  • For any wound, either it is bleeding or not, you can directly apply the turmeric powder to it.
  • In addition, to promote the healing you can mix a half tablespoon of turmeric powder with a flaxseed or linseed to make a paste.
  • Apply this paste on the wound or cut two to three times in a day to prevent the infection and reduce the pain.

Aloe Vera to Heal or Cure Minor Wounds:-

  • Aloe Vera leaves are easily available, so for healing the wound, one has to cut open the leaf, extractthe gel, and apply that gel on the wound.
  • Wait till the gel gets dry and then clean that part with warm water and make it dry with the help of a soft towel.
  • This helps in reducing the inflammation, pain, and increases the moisture in the skin to heal the wound.

Coconut Oil to Heal or Cure Minor Wounds:-

  • Coconut oil can effectively heal wounds due to its amazing antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, moisturizing and healing properties.
  • This has been proven by several studies.
  • Coconut oil can also keep infections at bay and prevent scarring.
  • Apply extra-virgin coconut oil on the wounded area.
  • Put a bandage over it to seal in the moisture.
  • Reapply coconut oil and change the bandage 2 or 3 times a day.
  • Follow this remedy for several days to prevent scarring.

Indian Lilac to Heal or Cure Minor Wounds:-

    • Indian lilac, also known as neem, has high content of essential fatty acids that build collagen, maintain skin elasticity and promote wound healing.
    • Plus, it has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Mix 1 tablespoon of neem leaves juice and 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder to form a paste. Apply this paste on the wound. Leave it on for several hours, then rinse it off with warm water. Reapply again and repeat for several days.
  • Alternatively, grind equal amounts of neem leaves, turmeric and Chebulic myrobalan (hartaki) together with a little lime juice. Apply it to the wound and allow it to dry. Follow this remedy 2 or 3 times a day.

Garlic to Heal or Cure Minor Wounds:-

  • Garlic has been used to heal wounds for years due to its antibiotic and antimicrobial properties.
  • It can stop bleeding, reduce pain and promote healing.
  • Also, garlic boosts the body’s natural defenses to prevent infection.
  • In case of bleeding, clean with wound with water and apply a few crushed garlic cloves on it. The pain and bleeding will stop immediately.
  • To help the wound heal, crush a few garlic cloves into a paste, and spread it on a piece of sterile gauze. Put the gauze over the wound and wrap a sterile bandage around it. Leave it on for 20 minutes, then rinse it off with warm water. Repeat twice daily until the wound heals completely.

Use Saliva to Heal or Cure Minor Wounds:-

  • The wound can happen anytime, hence if a person is not having water or soap, then he or she can apply saliva directly to the minor wound.
  • Saliva works as an antibacterial agent when applied to the wound.
  • You can use water and soap to clean the area after 10 minute.

Potato to Heal or Cure Minor Wounds:-

  • Potato is very helpful in healing the minor wounds.
  • It is very effective as it contains chemicals that treat the wounds and speed up the healing process.
  • Take one potato and grate it properly.
  • Now keep the smashed potato on a clean cloth and apply it on the affected area.
  • Leave it for around 5 hours and then clean it with warm water.
  • Repeat this process for best results.
